I have a BA (Hons) degree in Dance Studies, a PG Dip in Occupational Therapy and worked as an Occupational Therapist in psychiatric care before setting up Imagine and Move to combine both passions. I have experience using dance movement with children in nursery settings, schools, extra curricular clubs and within the field of adolescent mental health and believe that engagement in creative, physical activity can significantly contribute to improved physical, emotional and mental well-being. Away from professional settings I love to read to and dance with my own three children and I see first hand the joy they experience when we bring stories to life through movement. I am passionate about children in schools and community settings being given the opportunity to receive the same joy and also to benefit from the sessions educationally and holistically. Children are invited to use verbal and non-verbal communication during the initial reading of a story and then the re-telling of that story through dance movement.
